Forgot to post the pictures of us picking out our pumpkins...

20 month stats

Jaycee had her 18 month appointment yesterday. She actually turns 20 months next week, but with switching jobs and getting new insurance it threw it off a bit. Jaycee has never cared about going to the doctor, but this time she knew exactly where she was. She cried the whole time they weighed her, did her length, and checked on her. Luckily, when her doctor came in she was running around in her diaper playing. Then they came and gave her 3 shots and the crying began again. It was nice to have Craig come with me and keep her calm. She is all done with shots until she turns 4! That'll be a good break. Jaycee now weighs 24 lb. 11 oz 46% for her age and is 32 1/4" 49% for her age. So looks like we got an average little girl. We went and got ice cream after for being so good! She didn't eat hardly anything, but I think that was the affects of the shots.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
With the kids trick-or-treating
And pumpkins for carving to give a good scare

It's been a while since I've last posted but there hasn't been anything too exciting to post about.
Right after our hike we went on, the next day I came down with a bad cold. I'm still trying to get over the coughing stage of it. Now Jaycee has been coughing all day. It's not fun being sick. I blame it on the change of seasons. So all last week and most of this week we have been staying home and trying to get better. We have had some nice days in the high 50's so I was able to go for walks with Jaycee and Izzy and also take Jaycee to the park. I love the fall! Especially when the sun is shining all day long!
For Family Home Evening on Monday we decided to go to the Library. Yes, we're nerdy like that :) Craig has been wanting to get a book to read for a while. It was fun to see Jaycee play in the kids section and pick up all the books. She found a big Elmo one to check-out and has "read" it every day. Craig checked-out The Great Gatsby and finished it last night. I found a mystery book and wouldn't recommend it. The cop in the book has "made love" with at least 3 girls, the F word has been said at least a dozen times, and many other words. I should just go take it back, but now I gotta see how it ends. The book has a series to it, but I won't be reading anymore. I'm up for a good book or author if any one has suggestions?.....
Craig and I have finished our Halloween costumes. With 2 trips to Good Will and $12 later, our pirate costumes look pretty dang good. Here are some sneak peeks....

On another good note...I've officially lost all my baby pounds! Yahoo! I'm going to keep dieting & exercising to try to get off some "wedding" pounds by the time we decide to add another wee-little one to the family. Craig has also hit his goal weight and he only has 9 more to go to get to his "wedding" weight. I'm so proud of him. He has helped me so much to be my partner in this goal. Let's just hope the holidays coming up are nice to both of us :)
And the last good note...there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Our 4 wheeler is close to being paid off. I have been dumping $ at the loan since we moved out here. We've been living frugal so we can get it paid off and working on the truck loan. We're hoping with a good Christmas bonus it'll be paid off and a little extra to our account. We're so excited! I can't imagine what it'd be like to have no...heck only one car payment. Paying the truck off would give us an extra $300/month! I think it's Dave Ramsey who Craig listens to that inspired us to pay debt! I'm proud of Aimee & Kyle too who have listened to Craig's spill about paying off debt and got their signature loan gone! Yahoo! I can't wait.

Breathtaking!

On Saturday Craig decided that we should go for a hike before it got too cold. He researched online and found one about 1 1/2 hour away. Borestone Mountain. It was a 1.2 mile hike to the nature center than an additional .6 to go to the top of the mountain. It didn't sound too bad. Well little did I know it was a vertical incline almost the whole way. It was such a good work out. It got really steep near the top. It was bitter cold when we finally got to the top and the wind was horrible. Jaycee's poor little hands were freezing and she didn't want to be in the back pack anymore. We snapped a few pictures and headed back down. Jaycee cried the whole way down. I felt really bad. It took us about 2 hours to get to the top and about an hour back down. Next time we need to find me some hiking shoes and a bigger back pack for Jaycee. Other than that, it was a great time. We got home that night and just crashed. We were all cold and tired. Here are some pics I captured:

The mountain in the background is the one we hiked. This was the half way point

General Conference Weekend

As one of our traditions on conference weekend we go for a drive between sessions to leaf peek. We are about 3 weeks from the peak of the colors so we'll have to go again. We headed up Old Canada Road which leads right to the border. In fact, we only had to drive 60 more miles to go to the border. Next year we'll be getting passports so we can play in Quebec. We really enjoyed conference even though we had to watch it on our laptop. Living outside of Utah I forget about all the conveniences we had living there. We couldn't even get it to broadcast on AM. At least we had the internet to watch it on. Here are a few pics of our peek
