It's Official

Jaycee is officially 2 years old! We had such a fun time as a family celebrating her birthday and how happy we are to have her in our family. One of the presents Jaycee got from us was a year pass the YMCA. They have a program for toddlers where on certain days of the week is a different activity. We went once to gym time where they have a bunch of toys and ride ons in a gym where they can run and play with other kids. On Wednesday they have boucehouse, which is a bunch of different blow up houses for them to play in. Craig took off a couple hours of work so we could drive down and take Jaycee to celebrate her birthday. (It's only on Mon&Wed) She had SO MUCH FUN! It was so cute to see her jump and play with all the kids. She had to take us everywhere. She even climbed up a 20ft slide and after going with dad, then mom, she braved it herself and went. Her face was PRICELESS. It was a frightened look then at the end she laughed so hard. It must've scared her a bit cuz she didn't go back down it. After the bouncehouse we grabbed some lunch at Arby's. Then we headed back to take Craig back to work. We had so much fun and decided this would be a tradition for all our kids. On their birthday they will get alone time with mommy or daddy to do something special. Here are some pics of the bouncehouse. I can't wait to take her back soon. Afterall...we get to go for a whole year!

Parents get to go on the bouncehouses to watch their kids so it's fun for adults too. And parents are free. Craig was so excited ha ha. There were about 20 kids running everywhere!

One of them was an obstacle course and at the end was a slide. Jaycee wouldn't go through it at first so she was so excited to grab daddy's hand to take him with her. After he went once she took off by herself.

Jaycee was so funny. When she would climb up the ladders she would use her knees. She was watching a girl do it with her feet and figured out that was much easier. I have such a smart girl

Here is the big 20ft slide. K so this picture is showing Jaycee going up it for the first time. She couldn't figure out how to climb the ladder and was going slow. The other kids kinda ran over her because she was going slow and it made her slide down on her stomach on the ladder. So she tried again taking daddy with her. The ladder is actually pretty steep as you get to the top.

Going down with dad

Now mommy takes her. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of her going by herself, but I was so proud to see that she is not afraid of things. That's my girl!

Last week Grandma & Grandpa Parker sent Jaycee a birthday package. I missed the door and so the package got sent to the post office. So we got it on Monday and Jaycee has learned what "presents" are and got so excited when she saw it. We couldn't wait until her actual birthday to open it so she got to open a present a couple days earlier. Here are some pics of her opening her gifts. Thank you Larry & Phyllis for the birthday presents! She loved it!

Opening her cute green & purple outfit. She wore it on wed to the bounce house. She always gets cute clothes from grandma.

On Jaycee's actual birthday (Thursday) she woke up pretty sick. She must've caught my head cold because she sounds pretty bad. She spent most of day like this...

It was sad to see her not feeling good on her birthday. I made her a bed on the couch and she spent most the day sleeping and watching movies. She hardly ate anything all day. After she took a long nap we had dinner and then had her birthday celebrations. Jaycee isn't a big fan of cake so I made her a cookie instead. Who needs Mrs. Fields?! My first idea was going to make a buzz & woody cake so I bought the toys for it, but after she had the barbie cake she hardly ate any of it.

She felt good enough to eat a cookie I guess. She loved it a lot more than cake. I'll have to get creative with cookie dough for next year.

After her cookie we let her open her presents. Aunt Dana and Aunt Sheri sent her packages in the mail that came exactly on her birthday. She was so excited to open them.

Opening her present from Craig and I. Jazz jersey. I bought it in Utah when I went to a game. Little did I know D-Will would be traded! That's okay though because we still like him.

Opening her package from Aunt Dana and family.

She was SO EXCITED about those fruit snacks!

She got a pair of Abby Cadabby socks and wanted to put them on right away. She loves Abby.

Such a diva in her own way.

Opening her present from Aunt Sheri and Carla.

She loved this gift. Craig and I have our laptops and she'll want to play on them to copy us. So now she has her own. She loves the music on it and likes to find the letters.

Opening another gift from us.

She loves wearing helmets. I don't know why, but she does. Now she'll have it for bike riding and for when we go on 4 wheeler rides.

Opening her last present from us. When we were out in Utah we got a killer deal on this track toy. She had seen it set up but must've forgot about it.

Watching the jeeps on their track.

Izzy even liked watching the jeeps. I was so proud of her because she didn't once try to eat them or get them. She's come a long way.

Riding her bike with her new helmet.

A smile for the camera even when not feeling 100%

I tried to position this video by the laptop but didn't want to delete it. Sorry it's misplaced. Jaycee has been working on her ABC's. At church on Sunday I was coloring on her magna doodle different letters and found that she has actually learned some of her letters. I decided to test it out with her new laptop. I have such a smart girl. I guess the magnets, books, and learning shows on TV is actually helping her learn.
