Futbol

Can we say that's it's been a rough start?   I'm so excited to watch my team play but holy cow-we can't get a break.  The Bears are now 1-2 losing to the Saints and Packers-boo!  But don't worry, I wear my new shirt, that Craig bought me when he was in Chicago, every Sunday with pride.  On the other hand; Lions are in the same division and are 3-0.  Craig is one happy boy.

Craig made a fantasy football league with 8 ppl in it.  I didn't think my luck was that horrible.  Let's just say if you follow football at all you'd know that Michael Vick got taken out last week with a concussion and this week with a broken hand.  Then Tony Romo hasn't done much because of broken ribs.  Ya...those are both my QB!  SUCK!  Let's just say my team loses every week.  So whoever plays me next, aka. Devin, you're up for another win.  I think I'll just stick to watching Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, Hester, Williams, Peppers, Urlacher and the others play and win.  Boo Fantasy Football!

October!

Can you believe October is sneaking up on us!  I am so, so excited.  October-December is my absolute favorite time of year.  Next month we are jammed packed with so much going on.  With baby visits, ultrasound visit, in-laws coming in town, general conference, leaf peeping, getting the vehicles ready for winter, branch activity Talent show, Jaycee's flu shot visit, carving pumpkins, my hair appointment, SIS HATCH coming to visit New England (so excited!), and to end it all with Branch trunk-or-treat and Halloween night!  Wowsers!  Hopefully with so much going on it'll make this baby get here sooner too.  Come the first week of November, I'll officially be just about 34 weeks and counting down.  Best time of year by far!

Family

You know...one really bad thing about moving 2500+ miles away?  I miss the little faces in my family.

Aren't these little kiddos just so stinkin adorable?  I miss them so much!  I used to babysit Wyatt since he was born until we moved and seeing him grow up makes me so sad I can't be there.  And poor Oaklee....I have yet to get to know her sweet personality.  Can't wait to get back to the Wild, Wild, West!

Oh and I give props to you Aimee who keeps up on pictures for your kids.  You're such a good mommy.  I plan on getting Jaycee pics again coming up in January with her new little sister.  Until then, I'll stick with just some candid pictures from my digital.  Love the Read Family today!

Widow again...

I'm a little bummed.  Craig is leaving tomorrow for his Chicago trip.  I hate when he goes out of town.  It gets so lonely without my best friend here.  He'll come back really late Friday then Saturday we have a baptism to go to and church stuff to do and Sunday church stuff as usual.  Then again on Monday we head to the airport for his Oregon trip.  Jaycee and I are sure gonna miss him.  Please let the next 2 weeks fly by!!!

Labor Day 2011

We got the opportunity to experience Maine at it's finest!  Our friends DeGrasse family was so kind to invite us up to Julie's family's camp (aka also known as a cabin...in Maine they call it camp)  It is in Houlton, Maine which is about 2 1/2 hours north of us and about 15 min to the Canada border.  The camp was right on Drew's Lake.  We headed up Friday night right after everyone got out of work.  We met and all carivaned up to camp.  Jaycee was so excited!  She LOVES playing with Wyatt & Lily (Julie's kids) and just adores Julie.  Oh and not to mention they have a dog-Ozzy-so she was so happy to play with Izzy and Ozzy all weekend.  And luckily Izzy did pretty good.  We decided right before we left to let the pups meet and play and Izzy kinda freaked out for a minute then ran and played.  She's kinda a bully.  At camp it did decide to rain and be a little chilly, but I thought it was a nice break from the heat and humidity we've been getting.  We had a fun filled weekend with chatting, going on kayaks and canoes, fishing, letting the kids swim, going for walks with the dogs, eating hot dogs & mac n cheese, watching a chik flik, and mostly...GETTING AWAY FROM EVERYTHING!  We were very grateful for the invite and for the friendships we've made.

Lily and her cousin Lizzy thought it was fun to catch rides on the dogs.  We would throw a stick out and they'd grab onto their backs.
 Jaycee and Wyatt playing
 Go Izzy Go
Jaycee LOVES Lily!  She was playing in the water and even though it was a little chilly Jaycee insisted on playing with her in the water.
 Our little water girl
Playing again on a chilly morning.  I loved how the morning dew hung over the lake and "mountains"  It was so gorgeous!

Craig, Brett and I all decided to go out for a ride in the water.  I was pretty sure Jaycee would love it.  She would get SO excited to go for a ride.  Kayaks are so much fun!
 Hi Jaycee!
Jaycee liked to scoot up as far as she could and hide her body into the boat.  It was funny to see just her little head poking out.  She loved looking at the loons, the fish jumping, and all the waves coming.
Brett, Wyatt and Ozzy going for a ride with us.  So much fun and soo pretty on the lake.

Sunday the kids were a little bummed because it was raining and they couldn't go swimming.  Instead they got to watch shows and play all day long!  Jaycee and Wyatt watching cartoons.

As I put these pictures up I realized I didn't get any pictures of me, Julie or Katherine's family.  Oops.

All-in-all it was a blast of a weekend and we got invited up again for some winter fun.  They like to go out on the lake and ice fish and ice skating and snow mobiling.  However, with a new baby coming I don't know that we'll make it up.  Hopefully we'll be able to go up one more time before we move.  I'm so thankful for the friends and memories we've made that'll last a lifetime!
