Jaycee has now reached the Big Girl stage I guess. She likes to be independent and if we try to not let her she gets mad. On our trip in Utah she freaked out about sleeping in the play pin so I'd let her sleep on the couch or in a bed. We decided when we got back to try out her with a Big Girl bed. And she is loving it! It seems like just yesterday she was born! We're really loving her Big Girl self and the Big Girl things she says. My favorite right now is when we tuck her in bed to say prayers she'll fold her arms and say "Heavenly Father" then ends by saying "Amen" and "na night mom" Here is a pic of her new Big Girl bed.

We have a lot of snow! And the next 3 days in the forcast is snow! I love it though. It's been in the single digits almost everyday since we got home and even reached -18 the other night. With such cold weather it's thrown our truck out-of-wack and decided it doesn't want to start. We went and replaced the battery thinking that was the problem. The guy at the shop told us the battery didn't have enough cold cranking amps. Well, the next day it wouldn't start! So now we have to take the starter out to go get checked. The starter has been acting out since the summer so I wouldn't be surprised. Luckily Craig knows how to fix it. I'm keeping positive about it though. I'm grateful we can survive with only one car until we can get the truck fixed. And also we got a check in the mail that will cover exactly the cost to fix the truck. That would be a blessing of paying our tithing!
Here are some pics of Jaycee and I playing in the snow today since the weather warmed up to 27 which is warm compared to 2 degrees. We only lasted about 45 minutes when I decided to bring Jaycee in cuz her poor hands and face were so cold. She got mad so I had to bribe her. She probably would've stayed outside playing all day.

Christmas Vacay Final

Well our 5 week vacation ended Friday. All-in-all it was a great time and we got to see our families a lot. I love our families and I thank all of them for helping it be such a fun time.
I was very excited I got the chance to stay 2 weeks to see Oaklee and spend time with her. So over a span of 5 weeks I got to hold my brand new niece and hear that 2 more are coming this year. Congrats Dawn & Crystal!
Our flight home went so well. I was really nervous doing it alone and how Jaycee would do. She did SO good. We had a red eye flight with a 3 hour layover in JFK. The whole first flight she watched cartoons (jetblue has tvs in their seats) then fell asleep for 3 hours. During the layover we watched toy story, went for a walk, and then got a Jamba juice. The second flight was only a 45 minute flight but we got stuck on the run way for an hour waiting for our turn to fly out. They had a lot of flights going out. Jaycee fell asleep right as we got on the plane. So it ended up being awesome for her to go red eye. But for me...I got a whole 2 hours of sleep. We both crashed at 7 pm and slept until 8 Sunday morning. It's nice to be back at home in the routine of things again. Here are a couple pics from the last weeks of the trip

Our family party for January birthdays

Jaycee was obsessed the new baby Oaklee. She would go up to her and say "hold you" She'll make a good big sister some day

What a pretty baby!

Jaycee playing on the Merry-Go-Round at the Junction. She wouldn't sit on the horse-she only wanted to hold on. Crazy girl

The day we flew out we had out last supper together at Chick Fil A. It was a fun time and glad we could say our goodbyes in person

Jaycee and I hanging out in the airport. She did SO good! We had a fun time with that orange drink and was laughing so hard.

This is what we came home to! Snow EVERYWHERE and lots of it.

Santa didn't forget about Jaycee even though she was in Utah for Christmas. She was so excited for her new bike

Santa also left a couple presents for her including a portable dvd player. lucky girl. that will come in handy

Vacay Week 3&4

Well the vacation in Utah is still going great. We had a wonderful Christmas and had such a fun time visiting and being with friends and family. We had many fun game nights including New Year's Eve-We stayed up until 6:30 AM playing Ticket to Ride. I couldn't believe Craig stayed up! On Sunday, Jan 2 we made dinner for Craig's family then we had plans to go to his sister's house so that Craig could look at their house to do some structural things to it. Well low and behold when we drove up there were cars everywhere. To my surprise, Craig had planned a birthday party and both of our families came! I had no idea! We got to play games and eat cake & ice cream and blow out 26 candles! I feel old! It was such a fun night. It was so nice to see everyone and the way they all got along. I felt so loved and appreciate you all for showing your love to me :)
The next day Monday was Craig's final day in Utah. We had a few errands to run and then we went to a birthday dinner with my parents and his to Firehouse Pizza in Centerville. It was so yummy.
On Tuesday morning, my official birthday, I drove Craig to the airport to fly back home to Maine. I said my goodbyes and gave a huge hug. As I drove back to Roy I cried half the way. I didn't realize how much I love him and how much of a best friend he is to me. Ever since we moved to Maine our relationship has grown so much! It's been so good for our family. I've spent the rest of the week at my sister Dawn's house and got to hang out with my other sister's Dalynne and Aimee. It's been so much fun laughing and talking and feels as if nothing has changed with us moving away. I'm so grateful for our families and all they have done to let us stay at their houses and showing their love. Thank you!!!!!
Next week should be fun. Tomorrow I go up to Aimee's house to stay there until my flight on the 21st. She still hasn't had little Oaklee; but she sure has tried. I even bought her an eggplant on Thursday and she ate the entire thing! She has an induction date for Wednesday, Jan 12. We'll see if she makes it that far.
